Redwood Theatre Company presents professional entertainment, featuring world-class artists, Broadway stars, Olympic level athletes and other renowned guest stars in touring variety shows & black box studio productions.
Learn more about the SOL Community Arts outreach program. Bringing fine arts opportunities to youth in our community. The SOL program provides resources and scholarships to vulnerable, underserved teens with the intention of creating positive social change and establishing violence prevention through art.

Carmen Maria Mitchell is a Latina performing artist who's pronouns are she/her/hers.
Carmen grew up as a competitive figure skater and ballet dancer. She now works as a professional singer and actor in both New York and California. Her body of artistic work includes many leading roles in musicals, plays, commercials and professional ice skating shows. Carmen performed as a principal skater on a National Tour of Disney on Ice where she originated the role of the “Live Host”.

Redwood Theatre Company is home to the SOL Community Arts Youth Outreach Program (aka the SOL Club). RTC & SOL Club work in partnership with the Snoopy's Skating School and several hockey organizations at Snoopy's Home Ice to provide youth scholarships for hockey programs Snoopy's Learn To Skate program.

A group of friends create a new theatre company
Producing original works, passion projects & social justice pieces
In 2015, Redwood Theatre Company began as a group of friends, seeking artistic growth and an opportunity to create their own productions to share with the community. Over the past few years, RTC has produced 15 full-scale theatrical productions, two of which, were original musicals, written by local artists. RTC has also produced several musical cabarets, staged readings, virtual variety shows and master classes.




Launching a new professional company
Featuring Redwood Ice Theatre & SOL Club Community Arts Program
In 2019, Redwood Theatre Company became a 501(c)3 non-profit through AIWP. We are now a company of professional artists, focused on producing world-class productions throughout Sonoma County. RTC has developed a new Ice Theatre branch of our company, sharing the art of professional figure skating with the community. RTC has also developed a new arts outreach program, providing opportunities to underserved youth of color.

Working with Windsor, CA. to build a new state-of-the-art professional theatre and arts outreach program in Sonoma County
Redwood Theatre Company & Redwood Ice Theatre are actively working towards raising funds to grow the performance companies and establish a professional residency in Windsor CA. Our goal is to be able to share more professional productions with the community and grow our new SOL Club outreach program. We are committed to providing arts opportunities and resources to underserved youth of color, creating more opportunities for artists with disabilities and providing employment for professional arts workers & creatives.

Los Angeles-based musician Ruby Layne debuted her EP in 2020. Ruby, originally an actor, had been singing in performances since a very young age and found the authenticity she was looking for in many a role by becoming her own artist after moving from the San Francisco Bay Area to LA.

We will be featuring professional artists and athletes in our first ever, worldwide virtual collaboration!
This remote series was designed to be a free gift for the community, spreading joy, art and inspiration.
We want to showcase the individual artistry of each artist and athlete, as well as demonstrate our collective resilience and ability to create something beautiful when we put our efforts together towards a common focus.
The inspiration for these projects is to showcase how people/artists persevere through art.
