Carmen Maria Mitchell is a multidisciplinary artist whose career spans music, theatre, film, and professional figure skating. She has performed leading roles in musicals, plays, films, commercials, and ice shows, and made her principal debut with Disney On Ice, originating the role of the first live host.

A U.S. Figure Skating double gold medalist and former Artistic National Champion, she draws from a classical foundation in ballet, ice skating, opera, and theatre to shape her work across disciplines.

As a singer-songwriter, Carmen released her first original work with a boutique California label and is now writing and collaborating internationally, developing her voice both as a lyric soprano and contemporary artist.

​

In addition to her artistic career, she is the founder and executive director of Redwood Entertainment Company (REC), a nonprofit arts organization with multiple creative divisions, dedicated to producing theatrical productions, professional ice shows, film and media, and internationally inspired podcasts. REC is also home to the SOL Club, which supports youth arts and uplifts the next generation of artists in local communities. Through REC, she continues to produce original works, build programs for underserved youth, and create opportunities for human connection through art.

Rooted in both Latin American and European heritage, Carmen is the granddaughter of immigrants whose story of resilience and reinvention continues to shape her path. Reconnecting with her family’s roots has become a central part of her life and creative focus.

With a passion for performance, cultural exchange, and artistic innovation, Carmen now lives and works between Italy, New York, London, and California, embracing a transatlantic lifestyle that allows her to expand her artistry while building global creative partnerships.
