Deborah Hurwitz is a composer, conductor and recording artist whose internationally acclaimed projects include Cirque du Soleil, Cyndi Lauper and the Broadway smash hit Jersey Boys.  She has written, arranged and produced music for national commercial campaigns such as Old Navy and Capital One and television shows ranging from Sesame Street to Bravo’s Million Dollar Listing, and has scored a diverse array of films, interactive media projects and live shows.  She released two independent CDs as singer/songwriter/alter ego Deborah Marlowe and has performed on The Tonight Show, The Late Show with David Letterman, The Tony Awards at Radio City Music Hall and twice at the White House.

In 2011, after conducting and performing with the Broadway company of Jersey Boys for its first six years, Deborah left to serve as the Music Director of Cirque du Soleil’s “IRIS: Journey Through the World of Cinema,” with an orchestral score composed by Danny Elfman, while continuing to launch and maintain a half dozen companies of Jersey Boys worldwide as the production’s Music Technical Designer.  She has since co-composed a new musical comedy with Jason Alexander based on the classic recording When You're in Love, The Whole World is Jewish, Music Supervised the Off-Broadway cult hit Bedbugs: It’s a Musical and co-created an original aerial musical with America’s Got Talent’s On The Fly Productions that opened the Batavia Fine Arts Centre's 2015-16 season to rave reviews.

Deborah graduated summa cum laude from Princeton University and has also served as an Associate Professor at the Berklee College of Music, with master class appearances at Lincoln Center and USC’s Thornton School of Music.  She lives in both Los Angeles and New York, and continues to serve Jersey Boys US and UK as Music Technical Designer, while developing new projects on both coasts.  Deborah is currently composing the music and lyrics for a brand new aerial musical called Petalwink, creating original scores for a breakthrough virtual reality platform based out of Los Angeles, and recording her third solo album.
