HOW IT ALL BEGAN
In 2015, Redwood Theatre Company began as a group of friends, seeking artistic growth and an opportunity to create their own productions to share with the community. Between the years 2015 and 2020, RTC produced 15 full-scale theatrical productions, two of which, were original musicals, written by local artists.  During that time, RTC also produced several musical cabarets, staged readings, virtual variety shows and a master classes series. These productions providing young, local actors artistic & leadership opportunities to develop their craft.

WHO WE ARE TODAY
Non-Profit: In 2019, Redwood Theatre Company became an official 501(c)3 non-profit through AIWP.

A New Professional Company: In 2020 during the COVID-19 shutdowns, RTC took the opportunity to rebuild and rebrand. RTC has since transformed into a new professional entertainment company in Sonoma County, featuring spectacular guest artists in professional productions throughout the wine country of Sonoma County. We now work in partnership with Jackson Family wines, bringing classical opera and Broadway style concerts to their estates.

Ice Theatre: During the same time, RTC developed a new Ice Theatre branch of the company, working in partnership with local cities and organizations to bring exciting outdoor ice shows to the community. Redwood ICE Theatre Company (RITC) is now the resident ice theatre at the famous Snoopy's Home Ice rink. Built by the beloved cartoonist, Charles M. Schulz and home to the world's most famous beagle, Snoopy!

SOL Community Arts Outreach Program: In 2021, RTC developed the new SOL Community Arts youth arts outreach program, providing arts opportunities, scholarships and recourses to underserved teens as a form of violence prevention and community engagement.

WHER WE WANT TO GO
