About Redwood Theatre Company

A new entertainment company in Sonoma County featuring seasoned professional artists and world-renowned guest stars!

Redwood Theatre Company is based out of Healdsburg, CA. Nestled in the heart of the Wine Country, the RTC studio is only a short walk from the main Healdsburg Town Plaza. Learn more about our studio productions and special guest community nights! 

In addition to our studio productions, Redwood Theatre Company presents touring productions throughout Sonoma County. RTC works in partnership with Jackson Family Wines, Sonoma County Pride, Snoopy's Home Ice, Santa Rosa Metro Chamber, the Town of Windsor and any many other local organizations to produce a series of outdoor pop-up shows, making professional productions and fine arts accessible to everyone in the community!

Our Mission

The mission of Redwood Theatre Company is to share professional, joy-filled entertainment throughout Sonoma County, providing opportunities for exceptional artists on and off the stage.

Outreach

Redwood Theatre Company is committed to nurturing the next generation of artists through youth arts education and intentional programing designed to support underserved teens find different forms of creative expression and violence prevention through art. Redwood Theatre Company works with local organizations, providing sponsorships for families who need a little extra help. 

Our Story

In 2015, Redwood Theatre Company began as a group of friends, seeking artistic growth and an opportunity to create their own productions to share with the community. Between the years 2015 and 2020, RTC produced 15 full-scale theatrical productions, two of which, were original musicals, written by local artists.  During that time, RTC also produced several musical cabarets, staged readings, virtual variety shows and a master classes series. These productions providing young, local actors artistic & leadership opportunities to develop their craft. 

Who We Are Today

Non-Profit:
In 2019, Redwood Theatre Company became a 501(c)3 non-profit through AIWP.

A New Professional Company:
In 2020 during the COVID-19 shutdowns, RTC took the opportunity to rebuild and rebrand. RTC has since transformed into a primer entertainment company in Sonoma County, featuring seasoned professionals and special guest artists in world-class productions throughout the Wine Country.

New Ice Theatre:
During the same time, RTC developed a new Ice Theatre branch of the company, working in partnership with local cities and organizations to bring exciting outdoor ice shows to the community. Redwood ICE Theatre Company (RITC) is now the resident ice theatre at the famous Snoopy's Home Ice rink. Built by the beloved cartoonist, Charles M. Schulz and home to the world's most famous beagle, Snoopy! 

SOL Community Arts Outreach Program:
In 2021, RTC developed the new SOL Community Arts youth arts outreach program, providing arts opportunities, scholarships and recourses to underserved teens as a form of violence prevention and community engagement.

Where We Want To Go

Professional Companies:
Redwood Theatre Company (RTC) & Redwood Ice Theatre Company (RITC) are actively fundraising to expanding their productions, cast and crew. Providing more employment opportunities for professional art workers and increasing entertainment opportunities for the community.

A New Theatre & Cultural Arts Center:
Redwood Theatre Company hopes to establish a professional residency in the Town Windsor and establish a regional equity house for professional artists in the North Bay.

Outreach Programs:
Redwood Theatre Company's SOL Community Arts outreach program is always looking for new ways to fundraise and expand programing throughout Sonoma County and the North Bay to inspire more young up and coming artists.

Full-Inclusion:
RTC has been working on establishing more opportunities for artists with disabilities through an adaptive full-inclusion programs.
